Things I Love

February always invites a little extra love, and I’m leaning into it wholeheartedly. In the spirit of this month, I’m sharing the details and design moments that are inspiring me right now. From timeless elements I return to again and again to small delights that are making a big impact this season, here’s a peek into what I’m loving as an interior designer.

Sculptural Headboards

Upholstered headboards and furniture with strong architectural forms are such an elegant way to introduce depth and texture. The beauty is in the silhouette. I especially love layering these pieces against busy wallpapers or richly patterned backdrops. Form becomes the focal point, and the space feels layered and thoughtful rather than overdone.

Unique Hardware

I’ve been especially drawn to decorative hardware lately, small pieces that blur the line between function and art. P.E. Guerin is the oldest decorative hardware firm in the United States and a constant source of inspiration. I love how playful their designs are, with ornate handles that feel almost mythical. These are the kinds of details that quietly take a space to the next level.

Patterned Wallpaper

Pierre Frey Le Grand Génois

I will forever be enchanted by reproduced historic wallpapers and textiles. Sourced from archives and antique trimmings, these patterns are preserved and revived with great care. There’s something magical about bringing pieces of old-world elegance into a modern home, knowing it once adorned palaces and stately houses centuries ago.

Ceramic Plumbing

‍ ‍Fireclay Tile Foundry Collection

I’m so excited about Fireclay Tile’s new glazed ceramic faucet knobs. They feel fresh and unexpected, bringing color and a whole new materiality to a part of the home that’s often overlooked. I love that they can be fully customized, turning a small, functional detail into an intentional and personal design moment.

Iconic Seating

‍ ‍ ‍B&B Italia Camaleonda Sofa

I have always been drawn to the Camaleonda sofa. Its modular design was revolutionary when it was created in the 70s, and it still feels totally fresh today. I love how substantial it is, with its generous curves and tufted cushions. It’s a classic that never feels stuck in the past, always evolving with the room around it.

Whimsical Lighting

‍ ‍Atelier Vime Rattan Leaf Sconce

Lastly, I’m completely charmed by this rattan leaf sconce from Atelier Vime, handcrafted in Provence, France. It’s whimsical and just unexpected enough. I love lighting that surprises you.
